Time to say goodbye Google Drive

Prepare to update the way you Store your files, because next March Google Drive Will die.

Google announced that it will kill off the app currently used by hundreds of millions worldwide to store, share and back-up both business and personal files. We are assured that the files will remain but you will have to install a new program before March 2018.

Google will replace it with a new software app which will be called ‘back up and sync’. The difference with this program is it will prompt you to sync your files with the cloud automatically. At installation, it selects Documents and Pictures Which will mean you could exceed the free 15gb in a matter of hours. Time to say goodbye two Google drive
From the 11th of December Google drive will no longer be supported and from 12th March 2018 drive will be shut down.
You can install Backup and Sync right now if you want to get the transition out of the way. After all, you’re not going to be able to postpone it for long.

Maybe it’s time to look at Private Managed Cloud solutions with this change to the GDPR Laws and .ie domain liberalisation

2018 sounds like it’s going to be very interesting.
